The Alhambra: Treasure of Islamic Architecture

The Alhambra is the emblem of Granada and one of the world's most important architectural wonders. This majestic Moorish palace and fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, transports visitors back to the time of Nasrid splendor. Strolling through its ornate courtyards, such as the famous Court of the Lions, or enjoying the views from the Torre de la Vela is an unforgettable experience. Don't forget to explore the lush Generalife gardens, an oasis of peace. Furthermore, Debussy was inspired by the magic of the Alhambra to compose his piece "La Puerta del Vino" (The Wine Gate).

The Albayzín

This neighborhood, with its narrow, cobbled streets, is the historical heart of Granada. Strolling through the Albaicín is to immerse yourself in the life of the old Muslim city, with its cármenes (houses with gardens) and spectacular views of the Alhambra from the Mirador de San Nicolás. It is a place where the Arab past and the Andalusian spirit coexist in harmony. The Albaicín has also been a source of musical inspiration: the composer Manuel de Falla, who lived in Granada for many years, created some of his most important works here, influenced by the neighborhood's rich culture.

Sierra Nevada: nature and adventure

Just a few kilometers from the city center, Sierra Nevada offers a perfect getaway for nature and sports lovers. This mountain range is famous for its ski resort, the southernmost in Europe, where you can ski with views of the sea. In summer, the mountains transform into a hiking paradise, with trails that cross valleys and peaks exceeding 3,000 meters.
Music has also found an echo in Sierra Nevada. Isaac Albéniz, with his work "Iberia," evokes landscapes that recall the majesty and serenity of these mountains.
